A hardcore Tool fan has willingly entered a cryogenic chamber to await the release of her favorite band's fifth studio album. It's been roughly nine years since Tool released their most recent full-length, 10,000 Days, and with many delays affecting the new record's release, one fan could simply wait no longer.

The now-frozen fan has been identified as 38-year-old California native Marie Rosetta. A dedicated Tool follower since back in '92 from the first EP, Rosetta is one of many who has taken Tool superfandom to extreme levels. In this case, however, Rosetta's commitment to Tool took her to the Cryotherapy Center of Dr. Harry Manback in Arizona Bay, Calif.

Before entering the cold and ugly chamber, Rosetta admitted she had held a grudge against Tool for making fans wait so long for a new record. However, that is no longer the case. "I wore the grudge like a crown of negativity," Rosetta told Loudwire. "But I'm about to transmutate these leaden grudges into gold. It's time to let go."

Though cryotherapy has been used to reduce pain for individuals with certain conditions, prolonged exposure to temperatures as low as -144 °C can be understandably painful upon awakening from suspended animation. However, Rosetta has prepared for the potentially excruciating experience through studies of lachrymology -- most notably with Ronald P. Vincent's The Joyful Guide to Lachrymology.

Rosetta's husband Jimmy, 46, and son Jambi, 2, have been surprisingly supportive of Marie Rosetta's decision. "We are choosing to be here right now," Jimmy said before offering the words, "Hold on, stay inside," to his wife.

Though Marie will be apart from her family for an indefinite period of time, Jimmy plans to find comfort during her absence by baking her signature cookies, which contain no eggs.

Stay tuned to Loudwire for all your updates on Tool's fifth studio album and the eventual unfreezing of Marie Rosetta. APRIL TOOLS!
