Now that I'm living a couple blocks from downtown, The Young Professionals Network of Mesa County 3rd Annual Pub Crawl got my attention. Plus, It's a benefit for the United Way of Mesa County. It's not too early to be thinking about the weekend.

I must confess I'm not a "young" professional.  I'm more of the "older" type but I was pleased to see that everyone is welcome to attend. As I investigated further I also discovered the mission statement of YPN "The Young Professionals Network of Mesa County is a diverse group that strives to help foster future leaders in the Grand Valley. Comprised of a variety of individuals from a wide array of professional disciplines, YPN serves to promote and develop connections between the Grand Valley's best and brightest young professionals and others within the community." Sounds great! I sure wish there was an organization like this when I was a "young professional."

Now on to the fun stuff, The 3rd Annual Pub Crawl is happening Saturday, August 20th, from 1 - 6 p.m. It starts on the East end of Main Street at Blue Moon Bar & Grille and makes it's way through five downtown venues, ending at Charlie Dwellington's. All proceeds from event ticket sales will be donated to United Way of Mesa County!

So how about it? Join myself (older professional) and the Young Professionals Network of Mesa County for a cold one and all for a great cause. Since it's early in the week, this will give us all something to shoot for. I'll see you there!
