This Thursday evening December 7th enjoy dinner at Texas Roadhouse and help a great cause.

Any excuse to go to Texas Roadhouse is a good one, just some better than others. Thursday evening law enforcement for all across Mesa County will be dawning aprons to serve you and collect tips for Special Olympics Colorado. The event is from 5-9pm so bring your appetite and extra tip money.

Much of the funds collected will go in support of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run event. Law enforcement and athletes, run the Special Olympics “Flame of Hope” to events and competitions throughout the state. This flame "symbolizes the Special Olympics goal: shining a light on the talents and abilities of people with intellectual disabilities."

This year's local Torch Run event on May 19th was one of the Grand Valley's biggest and best. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office's "Glow-N-Games" events included the 5k Glow Run, CrossFit Challenge, and a Fire Truck Pull.

You can be a part these and the many other great Special Olympics Colorado events by coming out to Texas Roadhouse, 2870 North Avenue, and enjoying a juicy steak and of course, leaving a BIG tip!
