A time-lapse video has captured the amazing sight of great plumes of smoke billowing from the blaze at Silverton, known as the Buffalo Mountain Fire.

More than 1300 homes were evacuated Tuesday, as the fire, originating on Buffalo Mountain reached nearly 100 acres.

According to the Summit County Sheriff's Department, Wednesday morning, some residents were allowed to return to their home to collect some personal items. However, all residents were instructed to be out of the area by 11:00 am.

Area residents were also warned about the danger of inhaling smoke from the fire.  You can see from the video there are great amounts of smoke.

Wednesday morning, authorities said there was no growth of the fire overnight, but the fire remains 0% contained.
