A person leaving a Grand Junction restaurant got a shock when they found someone had broken into their vehicle and stolen their wallet.

To add insult to injury, the person who stole it fraudulently used a credit card from the wallet to pay for his purchases at Walmart.

The Grand Junction Police Department is attempting to identify and locate the person pictured who is the suspect in this theft.

Crime Stoppers of Mesa County reports sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. on January 29 the suspect stole a black and gray Michael Kors wallet from a vehicle in the Pueblo Magico Authentic Restaurant parking lot at 2839 North Avenue.

The thief went from the restaurant to the North Avenue Walmart and used a credit card from the stolen wallet to pay for the items he had shopped for.

If you recognize or have seen the person in the photo or know anything about the theft and credit card fraud you are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 970-241-7867. All callers remain anonymous.
