Circle July 21 on your calendar as Las Colonias Park will play host to the first Colorado Riverfest ever.

Getting out in the summer and doing new and fun things is always welcome. And the first annual Colorado Riverfest will let you do just that.

Food vendors, local crafts, and a lot of music are a few of the things you can look forward to. Music by bands like Common Kings, this year's headliner, as well as Anuhea, Passafire, and Pacific Dub will bring a reggae/rock theme to the party, so you can dance while you eat, dance while you shop, or just dance. And you don't want to miss the special reunion performance by local legends the Pineapple Crackers.

The Riverfront Project allows funds from events such as this to help preserve and enhance the riverfront area. Water levels are as low as they have been in years and understanding the riverfront area and what projects are coming up will help gain a better understanding of not only the river, but the efforts being made to keep the areas looking good year after year.

Make your plans now to be there for all of the fun, food, and music.
