The annual free-to-the-public Telluride Fire Festival was a huge success this past weekend.

The finale for the festival was one of many highlights. The annual Fire Ball party was held at North America’s highest nightclub. At 10,540 ft it's truly a unique experience in itself. However, toss in the burning of the 40-ft towering wood sculpture created by local artist Niel Ringstad, it becomes something altogether different.

The Fire Ball catered to a variety of tastes—with elevated VIP areas, lavish pillow rooms, musical entertainment by Rodger Clyne, LoveTribe, DJ Ryan Smith, and Ryan Stringfellow as well as aerial silk performers, fire spinners, and live painting. Guests were also treated to Fire On The Mountain, the fire sculpture garden atop the ski area just outside the dance hall.

The Telluride Fire Festival is a free, not for profit, interactive outdoor fire art experience that takes place every January. The Festival features fire dancers, multi-storied, fire emitting “art cars”, burn barrels, and larger-than-life, interactive, and fiery art installations on public plazas in town and Mountain Village.
