The MS Walk Is This Saturday
If you've known someone with MS, you understand the challenge this disease is for those who suffer with it. MS is a disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system. The disease disrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide.
The MS Walk is Saturday, May 6th. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. The program begins at 9:10 a.m with the walk shortly thereafter. The festivities are at Canyon View Park, 730 24 Rd, Grand Junction. To get involved please visit www.walkMS.org or call 855-372-1331. You can also send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Walk MS unites teams of families, friends, neighbors and co-workers to raise funds that drive groundbreaking MS research, provide life-changing services and guarantee a supportive community for those who need it most.
Hundreds of people are expected to raise more than $55,000 at this years' Gand Junction event. Walk MS is an opportunity for people living with MS and those who care about them to connect, work together, and support one another. Last year, nearly 300,000 people at more than 550 events across the country walked to help find a cure, raising nearly $50 million.
