The First Big Local Pinktober Event is Saturday

The first big local cancer event for 'Pinktober' will take place this Saturday with the Delaney Donates Firehouse Poker Run. All of the proceeds will benefit the Delaney Donates Charity which helps local cancer patients and their families.

Registration for the poker run will begin Saturday at 10am at the Oaks Shelter in Lincoln Park. The shelter is between the tennis courts and the golf course. There will be a raffle and a 50/50 drawing. The weather should be good with sunny skies but you might want to dress warm. The high for the day will be 63 degrees.

All motorcycles and scooters are welcome to come enjoy the ride. The cost is $25 per-rider and $15 per-passenger and that includes your first poker hand, event T-shirt, the BBQ and after party.

If you can’t make it for the poker run the BBQ and after party is open to the public at the Orchard Mesa Eagles Lodge (1674 Highway 50). The BBQ is from 3:30pm to 6pm with the after party starting at 5pm. The Black Timber Band will rock the house all night. The cost id $15 for adults and kids 12 and under are free.

This is sure to be a fun day for a great cause so clean up your scooters and get those leathers out for the Firehouse poker run this Saturday. All proceeds will benefit the Delaney Donates Charity.
