This evening, and next Thursday, and it's over until next spring. The downtown Grand Junction Farmer's Market is pretty cool.  I've taken in couple since moving to town and I've enjoyed the experience.

There's much more to the events than just a chance to grab some fresh veggies.  With 17 local growers each and every week, it's the place for that for sure. However, the art, live music, and dozens of vendors make for the fun.

This evening it's First Responder Night. Plus enjoy the live music of Flat Top Reed, The Widowmakers, and Dennis Overpeck. Next week, it's the Men In Heels Race and the live music of The Goodman Band, Bobby Walker, David & Tamara Hauze.

Of course, there's the art. It's always nice to take some time and enjoy the artwork and the beautiful trees along Main Street. Having just moved from Lawrence, KS I know a cool downtown when I see one, and you locals should be proud of yours. So take some time, whether it's this evening, or next, and take in the last couple farmer's markets. Cooler weather is coming and there will be a day you'll wish you could hang downtown. Veggies rock!
