The Community Hospital Making Strides Against Brest Cancer Walk is October 8
The annual Making Strides Against Brest Cancer event is a celebration of survivorship and your chance to help raise money in the fight to end breast cancer. Your support helps fund breast cancer research, education, and helps provide services to critical patients.
Sherwood Park is the location of this year's walk. Festivities get underway at 9 that morning and the walk begins at 10:30 a.m. There are several ways you can help. You can start a team, join a team, make a donation, or volunteer your time.
You won't be alone. Over one million volunteers nationwide will participate in in walks and other special events. As of today, over 30 teams are signed up for this year's walk but we need more. Please consider getting your organization, co-workers, friends, or family together and enter a team. The walk is non-competitive and only just over 3 miles long. There's still time, get signed up today!
And yes, ladies please bring out the bras you no longer need for our "Bras For A Cause" event. That's right, we're collecting bras. As you know, October is Ameican Cancer Society Brest Cancer Awareness Month and we plan to use these donated bras to help support the cause. Thank you in advance for your support and we'll see you at Sherwood Park October 8.
