We love the fact that the Grand Junction area has a ton of visitors from all around the world every year. Many come here to breathe in the beauty of the mountains and take in the many activities. Unfortunately, some come here with unrealistic expectations and leave terrible reviews on travel sites.
Every state is full of towns with strange names or weird names that keep residents guess where they came from. Let's take a look at what Colorado has to offer, and wonder what the founders of those towns were thinking.
Recently, I had some fun with Clifton, the area that my family calls home. My family loves Clifton even though it's very quirky. Some of the responses were beyond hilarious. Some of them also showed something that is so very Grand Junction. People in this area are very proud of their "burb".
I would like to have a little talk with whoever designed the street layout of Grand Junction. I believe that some of the streets and intersections must have been laid out based on a dare. Don't misunderstand. I love this city. But, driving in it? Not so much.
