We've talked a lot about the entertainment at the upcoming Colorado Pork and Hops celebration. But, in my opinion, we haven't talked nearly enough about the real star of the show - BBQ.
My cooking abilities normally are limited to two steps. Step one find the food that needs to be cooked at the grocery store. Step two put whatever food I found in the microwave oven and push a button. Notice I did not say two buttons. That's too complicated. That normal cooking technique will not cut it for the 4th of July weekend.
In honor of Labor Day Weekend and Pork and Hops coming up September 12 and 13, I figured we'd celebrate with some of our less intelligent amateur BBQers.
As Memorial Day opens the gate to summer, we all begin to plan our outdoor activities. Most of us will find a reason to get outside for the long weekend and enjoy food, friends, family and some delicious beverages. And really, it wouldn’t be a summer holiday without some grilling.
