Aaron Hernandez, the onetime star tight end for the New England Patriots, hanged himself in his prison cell, according to the Massachusetts Department of Correction.
A jury has found former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez guilty of murder in the first degree in the slaying of Odin Lloyd in 2013. The charge carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The erasing of Aaron Hernandez began on June 26th with his arrest for the murder of Odin Lloyd. Before the ink was dry on his finger prints the New England Patriots cut the Tight end. They then removed his name and likeness from the team facility and web site. They also pulled all of the team apparel connected to Hernandez from the team store.
