UPDATE: As of 3 p.m., the blockade of the 700 block of Glenwood is down, although police still remain on the scene. The GJPD released an incident report which in part stated:

Further investigation lead officers to 752 Glenwood Ave., where we believed the suspect and another person were inside. The Grand Junction Police Department SWAT team surrounded the house, and made multiple attempts to get the people inside to come out voluntarily over the course of several hours. Just after noon, the first man came out, followed shortly afterward by the second man. Both are being detained for questioning. No charges have been filed at this point.

A shooting suspect is involved in a standoff with the Grand Junction SWAT team. This all started Sunday morning when police responded to reports of a shoots being fired around 5 a.m. Police say the suspect fired two shots, one hitting a fence. Debris from the fence hit a person, but the victim was not hospitalized.
Police and SWAT are currently outside of a home in the 700 block of Glenwood Avenue, where they believe the suspect is hiding out.
Officers are diverting traffic in the area. Please stay away from the area until it is all clear.
