Star Trek’s ‘Mr. Data’ Sporting Every Color in the Rainbow

The creators of Star Trek: The Next Generation knew they wanted an android as part of the principal cast. They knew they had their man when they auditioned Brent Spiner for the role. However, they were considerably more indecisive about what color he should be. Check out Mr. Data doing his impression of a pack of Skittles.

Before your very eyes, watch in amazement as Mr. Data transforms from bubblegum pink to silver, to a very funky shade of.....of.....something resembling a kind-of gold. Pay close attention at :38 when it is all Spiner can do to keep a straight face.
