I have to be honest for a second and tell you that I went to the Pepsi Center last night (August 19th) simply to see one of my music idols, Slash. Aerosmith was the headliner, and although it's cool to be able to say you've seen them, I wasn't all that excited. To put it simply I was blown away.

Slash was amazing on the guitar as you'd expect, but what really stole the show as far as I am concerned was the talent of his singer, Myles Kennedy. I knew he could sing, but watching him live last night instantly put him in my top five or six favorite singers EVER... He is that good! Amazing stuff!

As for Aerosmith. They didn't have to have the fire balls, the fireworks, or the crazy stage to keep you entertained. All they need is Steven Tyler, who you'd think is still high watching his antics on stage, and Joe Perry, who looks like he is 30 years old still, on stage tearing it up. For guys in their 60s, it was amazing to see their ability to perform, and and sound amazing doing it. I will never take an Aerosmith show for granted again.
