One of the most beloved musicians ever in the history of metal is the late Dimebag Darrell Abbott, so it's no wonder that rockers rally whenever his name is attached to an event. Sevendust have signed on to headline the 2013 'Ride for Dime' event taking place Oct. 5 in Nashville, Tenn.

The event will be held at the Nashville Center Stage and includes performances by the aforementioned Sevendust, along with Voodoo Prophet, Disigal Collapse, Hellhed (performing a Pantera tribute set), Habit of Force and Beyonduplication. In addition to the live music, the event will feature raffles, silent auctions and a VIP Meet & Greet with Sevendust that also gets fans an event shirt, poster and souvenir cup.

As for the "ride" portion of the event, that starts at the Brewhouse on West Highway 70 at 3:33PM. Those wishing to join in the ride are asked to gather at the location at around 1PM. Special guests at the Ride for Dime include Sirius XM metal personality Jose Mangin, Dimebag Darrell's longtime love Rita Haney, RFD president Rob Eichelberger, Shinedown and Fuel guitarist Jasin Todd, Sirius XM's Luc Carl, John Brooks (aka The KAT/BEST DUDE) and Nick Bowcott. Those not able to attend can still keep up on the festivities by purchasing a $3 ticket to watch the stream online at StageIt.com.

"I think that Darrell would be really proud of his extended family, friends, fans and musical brothers and sisters," explained Haney. "The Ride for Diem has embodied the spirit of Darrell by keeping his memory alive the way Dime would have wanted … with 'Unity.'" Haney went on to add that she's been overwhelmed by the support for Darrell in the years after his death and the money that has been raised in his name for a variety of causes.

If you are able to attend and would like to purchase tickets, check the ticket link at this location.
