Denver Broncos' Ring of Famer, Rick Upchurch will be the special guest at the Tee Off For Testicular Cancer Golf Scramble May 6 at Adobe Creek National Golf Course.

Upchurch played for the Broncos from 1975-1983, elected to four pro bowls, and was voted to the NFL's All-Decade Teams of the 1970s and the 1980s. He's ranked as the #6 greatest punt return specialist of all-time, and in 2000 was named one of the 300 Best Players of All time in the NFL.

Teams, as well as individual registrations, are still being taken for the 4-man best ball scramble event. Men and women are both encouraged to participate. Proceeds from the event go to the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation, founded by Kim Jones of Grand Junction.

Lunch is provided by Cowboy and the Rose, and all golf participants will enjoy complimentary range balls, two drink tickets, a gift bag, a chance to visit with a Bronco great, and a chance win some great prizes including $10,000 for a hole in one. Plus there is a silent auction with some great items including a House Boat Trip on Lake Powell.

Kim Jones' son, Jordan, pictured above with Rick Upchurch, a cancer survivor himself, is currently in a very tough battle with testicular cancer and is the very reason Kim started the foundation. The foundation is leading the fight against testicular cancer through awareness, outreach, promoting prevention, and providing support and financial assistance to those in need.

According to Kim's daughter Breanna, here's how Rick Upchurch came  to know the Jones family.

"Rick did a fundraiser in GJ for childhood cancer last October. Several people at the event thought that it was a fundraiser for Jordan. Rick and Donna Upchurch first heard about our family from the people at the event. After hearing Jordan's story they donated the proceeds to my family. They delivered it to our apartment in Denver and brought Jordan Bronco swag signed by him and stayed and hung out with our family for a while.

Once they found out that my mom started TCAF they wanted to be involved. So now Rick and Donna are friends and will be participating and helping with the golf tournament."
