UPDATED: Missing Snowmobiler Found on Grand Mesa
The missing Grand Mesa snowmobiler was found and alive.
[2:13 PM] Mesa County, Colo.-- The the Mesa County Sheriff's Office state that the missing snowmobiler ran out of gas, but made his way to the Electric Mountain Lodge near Paonia. The missing snowmobiler was reported to be doing okay, with no medical issues.
[11:37 AM] Rural Area Deputies and Mesa County Search and Rescue, Inc were dispatched last night to search for a snowmobiler who was separated from his group and never returned.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, both groups were dispatched last night (January 2) around 7 PM to the Bonham Reservoir area in response to a report of man who was snowmobiling with a group of four friends.
They were on a day trip from the Bonham Reservoir area to Alexander lodge when the man separated from their group.
Century Link and the High Altitude Army National Guard are both providing helicopter support to aid in the search and rescue efforts, which includes over 20 members from the Search and Rescue volunteers.
