While snow really hasn't rolled in yet this Winter, at least not in the lower valley, you know it's coming soon. Take a look back at Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, and Ouray, during the Winters of the 1940's and 50's, through the lens of late Daily Sentinel photographer Robert Grant.

Several of the night time shots feature Grand Junction's Lincoln Park. The shot of the crew working at turning the train around was taken in Ouray proper.

So, can we expect Winter conditions like those in the photos for the 2014-2015 season? Forecasters aren't entirely sure. According to the NOAA, It's still difficult to say at this time.
