Colorado Mesa University’s softball team will have to wait an extra day before starting their postseason.The 2013 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Softball Championship Tournament, which was suppose to start Thursday in Denver, is being pushed back one day due to weather conditions.

Snow and rain fell overnight in the Denver area, and more of the same is expected today (Wednesday).

The tournament will now begin this Friday (May 3) and conclude on Sunday (May 5). Top-seeded Colorado School of Mines is hosting the tournament, while Colorado Christian will help co-host the tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Colorado Mesa will play its first game of the tournament at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Park.
