In July of last year, it was reported that Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Nirvana legend Kurt Cobain and Hole's Courtney Love, had filed for divorce and was battling her now ex-husband, Isaiah Silva, over one of her father's prized guitars.

TMZ reports that now, six months after the divorce was finalized, Silva remains in possession of the rare and historic acoustic/electric 1959 Martin D-18 E. Only 300 models were made before the manufacturer discontinued it and Kurt Cobain had famously played the guitar on Nirvana's MTV Unplugged album, making custom adjustments for the right-handed guitar to be played by a lefty.

Silva had previously claimed that Frances had given him the guitar as a wedding gift, meanwhile she contested that she would never gift away a family heirloom. Courtney Love even commented on the battle when the news had initially hit, stating, "It's not his, it's a treasured heirloom of the family. It's not his to take. I'm very glad that she's out of this very dangerous and toxic relationship."

Earlier this year, Frances flaunted her musical abilities, sharing her first public song, an a capella tune that had yet to be titled.
