Ten years ago (Dec. 8, 2004), the music world lost one of its most talented musicians in the absolute worst way. Dimebag Darrell was slain onstage by a crazed concertgoer while playing with his band Damageplan in Columbus, Ohio, and the hard rock and metal community has been in mourning ever since.

Dimebag, of course, made his mark as the legendary guitarist of Pantera, who revolutionized metal in the early 1990s with their groove-heavy riffs. With albums like 'Cowboys From Hell' and 'Vulgar Display of Power,' Pantera established themselves as an absolute force in the metal world. Even though they disbanded in 2003, the band's music continues to win over new generations of fans each and every year.

Throughout the past two weeks, we've been posting video tributes to Dimebag from his peers in the rock and metal world. Above, we've compiled several of those testimonials in a montage that we hope conveys Dimebag's engaging personality and immense talents. And if you've missed any of the individual video tributes to Dimebag, see the entire playlist below featuring Slash, Anthrax's Scott Ian, Judas Priest's Rob Halford, Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch and more.

R.I.P. Dimebag.
