The Colorado Mesa University women’s basketball “Pink in the Paint” Cancer Awareness Game is this Saturday at Brownson Arena. The Mavericks will take on the Chadron State Eagles .

Kathy Howa, CMU alumnus and President of Swing for Life Foundation, will be on hand for the festivities. Swing For Life was founded by Howa following her diagnosis of breast cancer. Since 2002, the foundation has provided the opportunity for individuals across the country to gain awareness and knowledge about breast cancer, and to participate in community services projects to raise funds for breast cancer research.

The 7th ranked Mavericks will wear Pink Warm-up tops with names and numbers that will be available for auction. Numerous other items and photos will be auctioned off as well. All proceeds will benefit  Swing For Life.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to wear pink to show support of the  breast cancer awareness campaign.
