The Eagles will never be heard on 95 Rock, and that's a good thing. We're a rock station and plan to keep it that way for a very long time. Tonight, however, there's a show at The Mesa Theatre will worth venturing out on this cold early December evening.

It's curiosity more than anything that's getting me out. The Boys of Summer are an Eagles tribute band. That's no easy feat. The Eagles "Hell Freezes Over Tour" show I witnessed back in 1995 is in my top 5 concerts of all time. If these "Boys" can pull off anything close, it will be well worth the $20 addmission price.

Tickets are still available at The Mesa Theatre box office. Doors are at 7p, show at 8p. There is an opening act. Speaking of, I was visiting with the guys when they dropped by the station this morning to be on with Zane Matthews and our sister station KOOL 107.3. They were telling me about the young 18-year-old Morgan Crouse. You'll not want to miss her.

The Boys of Summer are James Williamson, drums-vocals; Darrel Monson, guitar-vocals; Craig T. Fall, guitar-vocals; Chris Turbis, keys-sax-acoustic guitar-vocals; and Jerry Schaeffer, bass-vocals. James and Jerry are locals by the way.

I know it's cold. I know it's easy to just hang at home. I also know that an Eagles tribute band may not exactly the kind of music to regularly listen to. You're just going to have to trust me on this one. This show is worth checking out. There is nothing wrong with a "Peaceful Easy Feeling" once in awhile. We'll see you there!
