One Dead After Avalanche Near Cameron Pass in Colorado

DENVER (AP) — One snowboarder is dead and another is seriously injured after an avalanche near Cameron Pass in north-central Colorado.

Officials say the snowboarders were navigating backcountry terrain when they were caught in the slide in the Paradise Bowl on the west side of the pass Saturday.

There have been four avalanche deaths in Colorado this season.
