The wait for new Nine Inch Nails music is over, as the industrial rock kings have unleashed the new song 'Came Back Haunted.' The tune is the first taste of the band's upcoming album, which is titled 'Hesitation Marks' and will arrive Sept. 3.

'Came Back Haunted,' which can be heard below, combines vintage NIN beats in the verses with some of the band's more recent sounds in the chorus -- think of a cross between 'Kinda I Want To' off 1989's 'Pretty Hate Machine' and 'Survivalism' off 2007's 'Year Zero.'

It's been five years since NIN released their last album, 'The Slip,' in 2008. The following year, NIN mastermind Trent Reznor announced that the band would be going away for a long while following a "farewell" tour.
