In addition to the big stories we covered today, Wire-to-Wire provides you with some of the other key rock and metal news items from Nov. 7, 2017:

Nickelback have announced a five-night residency at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino starting Feb. 23. The band, promoting their Feed the Machine album, will also play Feb. 24 and 27 as well as March 2 and 3. Tickets go on sale to the public this Friday (Nov. 10) at 10AM PT, while a fan club pre-sale is currently underway and VIP packages are also available.

Nothing More recently announced their first tour dates of 2018. Now comes word that The Contortionist will join them on the run. Dates start Feb. 3 in Little Rock, Ark. and continue through March 3 in Sacramento, Calif. See the itinerary here. The Contortionist are promoting their latest album, Clairvoyant.

Orange Is the New Black actress Jessica Pimentel has joined extreme metal outfit Brujeria on tour, adding vocals on a nightly basis. The band is currently out with Powerflo and Pinata Protest and dates can be found here. Take a listen to Pimentel adding vocals to Brujeria’s cover of Origin’s “Revolucion” here.

Weezer hit the late night circuit, performing their new song “Happy Hour” on The Late Late Show With James Corden. Watch the performance here.

Sebastian Bach‘s 18 and Life on Skid Row biography will be made available as a paper-bach on Nov. 14. The new edition comes with brand new photos from Bach’s career not included in the initial release.

Coheed and Cambria singer Claudio Sanchez has used some of the band’s downtime to record a new EP called Celisti with his wife, Chondra Echert Sanchez. Take a listen to the EP, credited to Chonny and Clyde, via Bandcamp. Proceeds will go to help hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico.
