Need A Job? Get Your Game On First

As a manager, I talk with prospective employees nearly every day. Planning and preparation are the keys to securing a gig. A job fair is a great place to start.

There's a method to the madness. The economy may be improving but there are more people entering the workforce every day. Every year there's another influx of new graduates and persons moving into the market. The fact is there are more persons than jobs. If you want to secure one, the best advice I can give is to attend a job fair.

Mark your calendar for March 17, 9:00 am -11:00 am and get to the Mesa County Workforce Center. This Job Fair Boot Camp is broken into four 30 minute workshops facilitated by local Human Resources personnel. Get the inside scoop on how to successfully market yourself. The workshop begins at 9:00 am. Get there early and ready to learn!
