Saturday night after their performance at Thunderstruck Valley, I was hanging out with City Of The Weak and asked the band "What time are you hitting the road?" Excepting a response "in a little while" but when they said they were staying in town overnight, I suggested a trip to The Monument.

They informed me that van was leaving for Denver at 11 Sunday morning so we agreed on a 9 o'clock pick up. I rolled up on time not sure if any of them would be up and at'em. That's early for any rock band on the road. I was happy to see lead vocalist Stef with an f, and Cody the bass player were ready to roll.

We had a limited amount of time so had to hit the highlights. After a quick selfie at Cold Shivers Point, it was over to Ute Canyon View to test our echo skills and see the mummy.

We zipped around, as fast as one can reasonably drive over to Artist Point and walked down to the bottom of the trail.  After a couple pictures, it was back up to my truck and over to see the star of the show, Independence Monument View.

Thanks to a helpful park Ranger we didn't have to try and "selfie" the shot and got a nice pic of the three of us. No time that Sunday morning to stop at the Visitor's Center. It was down to Fruita and back to Junction. I'm proud to say I made it back to the hotel with 5 minutes to spare. It was a pleasure driving Stef with an f and Cody around. It's part of this rock-n-roll life, hanging out and making new friends. City of The Weak rocks!
