A multi-vehicle crash near the Eisenhower/Johnson Tunnels closed a portion of I-70 Wednesday afternoon in snowy conditions.

There were actually several accidents that affected travel on the I-70 corridor, but this collision was captured by a dash cam east of the tunnels.

Oftentimes, motorists are traveling too fast conditions and end up losing control of their vehicle on slick mountain roads. Other motorists, who are also traveling too fast for conditions and/or are following too closely to the cars in front of them, are unable to stop and end up being a part of the pile-up.

Seems that we can never remind people enough to slow down - whether the road is snow-packed, slush covered, or simply littered with scattered slick spots. And, it goes without saying, put plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
