The total cost to complete the project is estimated at 2.4 million dollars and has been in the pipeline for some time. When, and if, the project funds are approved it will take a couple months for the city to receive the cash. The upgrade project will take about a year to complete. The additional funds will come from partnerships with Mesa County, Mesa Land and Trusts, and the City of Grand Junction.
