DENVER (AP) — More gun-control proposals are up for debate in Colorado.

Two state Senate committees plan to begin work today on a package of Democratic gun-control measures that have already cleared the House. Those include magazine limits and expanded background checks.

The Senate has set aside extra time and extra rooms for the hearings, which are expected to last late into the night and draw large crowds.
