Classes for Montrose, Olathe, and Delta area schools have been cancelled for Monday (February 23) due to heavy snowfall in the area.

The Montrose and Olathe School District announced the closures Sunday evening. In addition to the school closures, all school related sports and extra curricular activities have also been cancelled for the day. The Delta County School District has also announced there will be no classes on Monday.

As of Sunday evening (February 22) the district has not made a determination as to whether or not classes will resume on Tuesday.

Montrose County offices will also be closed for the day and plan to reopen on Tuesday (February 24).

The storm system moving through Western Colorado could dump an additional 5-9 inches of snow in the Montrose and Olathe areas Sunday night with an additional 3-5 inches possible on Monday.
