Monarch Mountain Adding Tubing To The Mix!

Monarch to add a Tubing Park for the 2018 season.

With some early cold weather and snowfall ski resorts are off to a fast start for the 2018-19 season. With nearly two feet of snow on the ground, Arapahoe Basin fired up the lifts today.

Monarch Mountain is shooting for a November 21st opening day. That would be the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. In the meantime, their crews are hard at work on other projects. One is the removal of beetle kill trees. The other sounds much more fun! It's adding a new tubing hill!  “We get so many calls about, you know, is there sledding in the area, is there tubing in the area,” says Monarch Community Outreach member BL Holdinghaus. “For tubing,...you don’t have to have any equipment, we have everything you need here.”

The new tubing hill will add a new attraction and make for a relaxing way to enjoy the mountain. It's great for kids and there's no experience necessary. The Tubing Park will be open Friday-Sunday and Holidays for the 2018-19 season. Tubing sessions are an hour long and available every: 15 minutes. Find out more info by clicking HERE.
