The missing campers have returned home safely.

[UPDATE] The campers who were reported missing yesterday, have returned home safely. They pair decided to stay an extra day. Instead of camping in Glade Park or the Colorado National Monument, they decided to camp in Montrose County.

The MSCO reminds campers and hikers to always let someone know if your plans have changed.

[ORIGINAL STORY] The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is asking for help to find two overdue campers.

Terry Jackson and his fiance's son set out to go camping and fishing either on the Colorado National Monument or the Glade Park area. They left around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, with the plan to return on Sunday. They have yet to return home.

They were last seen in a white 2011 Ford Ranger with temporary tags and a front "Drive Time" auto sales plate.

Terry Jackson is 34 years old white male, weighing 155 pounds and stands 5-feet 8-inches tall. He has graying brown hair and blue eyes.

Kayden Cook, 8, is 4-feet tall weighing 60 to 70 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.

The MSCO and Mesa County Search and Rescue spent Sunday evening searching the Glade Park and Colorado National Monument areas. Hospitals in the areas have been checked as well.
