‘The Defenders’ Are Officially Going Down in August Premiere Teaser

Even after the entirety of Marvel’s Iron Fist, we still didn’t know when The Defenders would assemble. Thankfully, a new official Defenders teaser has arrived, hinting at an August premiere for Marvel’s street-level heroes!

A clever new teaser brings together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand in an elevator, apparently midway through a battle at Midland Circle. Just before Jessica destroys the security camera, the top-right corner hints at our premiere, pointing toward August 18, 2017.

Even more, if you enter the numbers on the top left, you’ll be re-directed to a New York Bulletin website (populated with Karen Page’s articles) that reiterates the August date at the very bottom.

Elsewhere of Marvel’s Netflix Defenders, we know the eight-part event will feature among the returning cast Elodie Yung, Jessica Henwick, Scott Glenn, Rosario Dawson, Rachael Taylor, Simone Missick, Deborah Ann Woll, Carrie-Anne Moss, Elden Henson and Eka Darville. The team-up series will be helmed by Daredevil showrunner Marco Ramirez, and helmed in part by Jessica Jones director S.J. Clarkson.
