Denver now has another reason to call itself the 'Mile-High City.' A recent survey found the city has more head shops and marijuana dispensaries per capita than any other city in the US.

The data, collected by Movoto Real Estate Blog and published by Policy Mic shows Denver has one marijuana store for every 3,780 residents and it's possible there may be 100 or more shops opening in the future. The survey also took into account that just over two-percent of the city's residents has a medical marijuana card.

Colorado Springs comes in a distant second with one marijuana store for every 14,213 residents.

Rounding out the top 10 are:

  • Seattle, Wash.
  • San Bernadino, Calif.
  • Aurora, Colo.
  • Santa Ana, Calif.
  • Irving, Calif.
  • San Francisco, Calif.
  • Sacramento, Calif.
  • Los Angeles, Calif.

For those who just want to get as far away from pot smoking as possible, the survey also found Birmingham, Ala., Buffalo, New York, New Orleans La., and Wichita Kan. the least pot friendly cities.

And if you're wondering, everyone knows when you're stoned.
