The Colorado Mesa University Mavericks begin March Madness Tuesday night in the RMAC tournament. The men will start the RMAC tournament on the road, while the ladies will kick off their post season run at home in Brownson Arena.

The men finished with an over all record of 17-9 and were 14-8 in RMAC play which earned them the 5th seed in this years tournament. The Mavericks will start on the road against 4th seeded CSU-Pueblo, the Thunderwolves were 15-13 over all and also had a record of 14-8 in RMAC play. Tuesday night you can catch all the action on 1230am KEXO and at 1230kexo.com with the pre-game starting at 6:45pm, the game begins at 7pm. With a win Tuesday night the Mavericks would take on the winner of the #1 Metro State/ #8 Colorado Christian game which is Tuesday night at Metro State. Good luck guys.

The lady Mavericks will start the RMAC tournament with a little home cookin’. The ladies had a great season finishing with a 25-1 record over all and 21-1 in the RMAC, which earned them the #1 seed in this years tournament. They will host #8 Regis who was 10-16 over all and 9-13 in RMAC play. You can catch all the ladies action Tuesday night starting at 6:45pm on 95 ROCK and at 95rockfm.com. With holding the #1 seed in the tournament the lady Mavericks hold home court advantage for this years tournament. With a win Tuesday night they would host the winner of 5th seeded CSU-Pueblo who was 18-8 over all and 15-7 in RMAC play at 4th seeded Fort Lewis who was 17-9 over all and 16-6 in RMAC play. The ladies are ranked 4th in the nation and regardless what happens in the RMAC tournament they should host the first regional game when the playoffs get to that point. Good luck ladies.
