The 37-year-old woman from Nevada pulled over onto the side of I-25 in her 2013 Toyota pickup truck near Fort Collins on Sunday (Nov. 19). According to the Colorado State Patrol, the woman was pulling over during an argument with the 39-year-old male passenger.

When they stopped on I-25 near the Windsor exit, a dog in the pickup truck jumped out into the northbound lanes of I-25. Of course, the man ran after the dog. While trying to save the dog, the man was hit by a Walmart semi truck.

Both the man and dog passed were killed in this tragic accident. The driver was not injured and stayed at the scene, according to KDVR.

I respect the man so much for immediately going after the dog. The poor pup was probably confused when the truck came to a stop. My pets are my family and I like to think I would've done the same for my pet.
