This young man is a credit to the community! Decked out in a bathing suit, hat and what looks like a red cape, this dude took to his lawn to give Free Metal to his neighbors and passersby.

Meet Steve Brown. According to his Facebook page, he gave up the good life as a former Customer Service Manager at Walmart and a former Sales Manager at Warren Auto Wreckers to deliver metal to the people of Bridgewater, N.J. free of charge. The lawn is Brown’s stage and the crowd is comprised of whoever is in listening distance, including the lucky people who drive by.

In this piece of what’s certainly a full set, Brown unleashed a cover of Metallica’s “Seek and Destroy.” No need for vocals, bass or drums — a single guitar is all he needs to entertain the masses. As of this posting, the Facebook video has amassed over four million views and has been shared over 94,000 times since July 16. Brown also posted the video on YouTube yesterday (July 23) and it’s racked up over 80,000 views.

Steve Brown is so selfless with his metal guitar playing that he doesn’t even throw his hat on the ground for tips. He does it for the good of the people and we salute him for it. Check out some Free Metal in the clip above!
