Here's how someone can ruin an awesome day. Park and lock your vehicle and head out for some fun on one of Western Colorado's trails. When you return, someone has broken out a window and stolen your stuff.

To further ruin your day, the creep uses one of your credit cards to purchase things at the Loco convenience store in Fruita.

That's what happened to an owner of a black Toyota Tundra who thought some time on Kodel's Canyon trail near Fruita would be a great way to spend some free time on Saturday (August 27).

In the interest of justice, the Mesa County Sheriff's Office would like to locate the person(s) who committed this crime.

The suspect who used the credit card is a male with a mustache, dark hair and wears glasses. At the time of the fraudulent purchase, he was wearing a gray printed t-shirt and jeans.

If you know anything about this crime or those involved, you can make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers of Mesa County at 241-7867. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website.

If the information you provide leads to an arrest, you'll get a cash reward of up to $1,000.
