Before the end of March, the Grand Junction Kmart will shut its doors for good, and the closeout prices are dropping like crazy.

It's been just over a month since we learned the Grand Junction Kmart would be closing for good and the parking lot has been relatively full ever since the retailer started slashing prices.

As going-out-of-business sales go, the savings is small to start with and gradually increases until the merchandise is gone or the store reaches its closing date. Many store shelves and aisles at Kmart are empty but there are still some bargains to be had.

The best savings is on clothes - including sports apparel. You'll find some Broncos' stuff, lots of 49ers and Seahawks apparel, and a few t-shirts and sweatshirts for local high schools. They have a handful of large appliances with substantial savings, and of course, many store fixtures are for sale.

So, exactly how low are the prices now at the Grand Junction Kmart? Here's what we found.

  • Clothing 50% - 70%
  • Shoes 50%
  • Jewelry 75%
  • Sporting Goods 30% - 40%
  • Bicycles 35%
  • Camping Gear 30%
  • Small Kitchen Appliances 20%
  • Large Appliances 40%
  • Bedding 30%
  • Health & Beauty 25%
  • Vitamins 30%
  • Groceries 25%

The prices will go lower yet, but the selection is dwindling, so if you have been waiting for just the right time - this is it!
