One of the more buzzed about new releases of 2016 is the upcoming effort from Iggy Pop. The punk pioneer has teamed up with Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme, who produced the Post Pop Depression disc, and he's got a solid band backing him up. Pop has now revealed the third new song from the disc, a track called "Sunday" that you can hear in the player above.

The song has more of a danceable groove to it, courtesy of Arctic Monkeys' Matt Helders keeping an infectious beat. In the track, Pop sings about bowing to the pressures of the work week, holding out for the recreational Sunday away from the tedium. The song chugs along before wrapping up with an orchestral finale.

"Sunday" is the third track to have surfaced from Post Pop Depression, following on the heels of "Gardenia" and "Break Into Your Heart," a pair of tracks that dropped not too far from the revelation that there was a new album. Post Pop Depression will arrive on March 18 and it's currently available to pre-order via Amazon and iTunes. There are also vinyl bundle options available at this location.

Pop will take his band on the road this spring in the U.S., with dates kicking off March 15 in Austin, Texas and continuing through an April 28 finale in Los Angeles. After that, it's off to Europe where he'll perform from May to July. His full itinerary can be seen here.
