Identity Theft is a Big Problem, but Some Criminals Help Catch Themselves

Brianna Priddy had her identity stolen last month when her wallet came up missing on a girl’s night out in Lakewood Colorado. Priddy found out that someone was using her identity when she was informed that hundreds of dollars of bad check had been written using her identity. That is when the criminal helped solve the case.

Brianna Priddy had gotten up and went to work at the Lakewood restaurant like any other day. She set up her section and during her shift a woman sat down had a meal. When it came time to pay the woman wanted to write a check, Priddy asked to see her ID as is the practice. She took the check and the ID, when she looked at the ID she found it was her. That’s right the woman had handed Priddy her stolen ID. Priddy called the police and the woman was arrested and charged with identity theft. It’s nice when the criminals help solve the case.
