We were joined on The Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show on Friday morning at Pure 96 Rock in Cincinnati by former Cincinnati Bengals fullback Ickey Woods.

Woods played for the NFL's Bengals from 1988 through 1991, but retired after a series of injuries that left him sidelined.

These days, Woods dedicates his time to raising money for the Jovante Woods Foundation, an organization he started after losing his middle son, Jovante, to a severe asthma attack in 2010.

We talked to Woods about a variety of topics, including his days with the Bengals, his GEICO ads, his work with the foundation and the ins and outs of being the owner-coach of the Women's Football Alliance's Cincinnati Sizzle.

The 49-year-old Fresno, Calif., native is a great guy and we look forward to having him back on the show in the future.
