Howmuch.net has revealed the number of hours you need to work per week in order to buy a home in your state, and, well, read it and weep.

Thanks to Mental Floss' Afternoon Map, we can see just how unattainable this aspect of the 'American Dream' is for some of us, particularly here in Colorado. If a 40-hour work week is considered the standard, then Coloradans will have to accept that home ownership may not be in the cards.

According to Howmuch.net, to be able to afford a monthly mortgage, the average Coloradan earning a median income should be working between 60 and 70 hours per week.
