Pit Bulls sometimes get a bad rap. Don't let that stop you from getting to know this sweetheart, Diamond. She is our Roice-Hurst Humane Society 95 Rock Animal of the Week and she loves people. Here's your chance to get to know Diamond.

Diamond is a 7 year old Pit Bull mix. This beautiful girl was transferred from Mesa County Animal Services as a stray. What we do know about Diamond is that she is girl who loves to be around her people. She enjoys gong for walks, playing ball, and giving kisses! Pit Bulls typically have a longer stay at the shelter due to landlord restrictions and often times get looked over. Please consider adopting this four legged cutie!

By the way, the ASPCA has some great advice regarding adopting pit bulls. Check it out.

Do your research. Are your neighbors the kind who might get concerned about a pit bull in the community? Bringing home a pit bull may be tough because many people wrongly associate them as being aggressive. Be prepared with breed facts and history to let people know that it’s bad ownership—not bad dogs—that causes pit bulls to be aggressive.

If you would like to learn more about Diamond or even better, adopt her, contact Roice-Hurst! They are located at 362 28 Rd. in Grand Junction! Their phone number is (970) 434-7337.
