Harlem Globetrotters Coming Back to Grand Junction

Meadowlark Lemon may be gone, but the hilarious antics of the Harlem Globetrotters live on.

So many of us grew up watching and loving the Harlem Globetrotters. Those are memories that we will carry the rest of our lives. Now, a whole new generation is getting the chance to experience that Globetrotter magic.

The world-renowned Globetrotters bring their world tour to Brownson Arena, on the campus of Colorado Mesa  University on Thursday, February 28.

Trick shots, basketball feats, and comedy are the hallmark of the Harlem Globetrotters, as well as multiple opportunities for fans to interact with the stars. Players include Big Easy Lofton, Hammer Harrison, Thunder Law, and female stars like TNT Lister and Hoops Green.

One of the cool things about their presentation in Grand Junction is an appearance by the Flying Gobies, an acrobatic trampoline dunk team that will perform during breaks in the action.

If I had young kids, there's no question I would be taking them to see the Harlem Globetrotters if at all possible. It's certainly not the cheapest entertainment in town with ticket prices ranging from $22.75 to $79 for courtside seats. But, there's no doubt, the memories made with the Globetrotters will last a lifetime.
